Below is a step by step guide to the world of using a personal chef. Be sure to also check out the Frequently Asked Questions section.
1A brief no-obligation consultation to discuss food likes and dislikes, dietary restrictions, and to assess the cooking environment. Personal chef services will be further explained, all your questions answered and a cook date will be determined should you choose to move forward.
2 In most cases, one weeks prior to the cook day, a customized menu, based on consultation, is sent to you for approval via email or fax.
3 Cook day arrangements will be confirmed via email or phone call.
4 Cook Day. (Payment for service is made prior to or on cook day. Cash, personal check or money order.)
- Your personal Chef will –
- Grocery Shop
- Arrive at your home at the designated time
- Prepare/cook/package all menu items for storage in refrigerator or freezer
- Clean-up your kitchen
- Leave your menu with instructions (heating, thawing, etc.)
- Leave a proposed menu to approve for the next cook day.
- Payment for services is made prior to or on cook day. Cash, personal check or money order.
5 You enjoy delicious, healthful meals prepared especially for you in your home.
Note about PackagingWe package meals in freezer/oven/microwave safe disposable containers. Meals can be made in your containers/dishes if they are freezer/oven/micro compatible. This can be further discussed at the consultation.
Note about PaymentTraveling Pan charges a fee for chef services PLUS the cost of groceries. The service fee includes menu planning, grocery shopping, cooking, packaging and complete kitchen clean up. Payment is due on or before cook day. Cash, personal check and money order accepted.
